Festivals in Asia
Asia is by far the worlds most populated continent, with over 4 billion people, it contains more than 60% of the world’s current human population. With is cultural and religious diversity, as well as growing affluence, has a vast range of rich festivals and celebrations. Colourful and festive events unite Asian cultures in a kaleidoscope of diverse native arts and crafts, music, dance, food, martial arts and traditional activities. Also, there is mouth watering cuisine from Indonesia, Korea, China, India, Laos, Vietnam, and Philippians and other countries fulfil the spirit of festivals in Asia.
The Asian life is adorned with festivals like the week of Ati-atihan Festival of Phillipeans, when people pan their faces with black soot and wear bright, outlandish costumes as they dance in revelry. Also, the Nachi-no-Hi-Matsuri of Japan, which brings on the morning of July 14th every year with music and dance. The famous Horse Racing Festival of Tibet and the festival of lights in India and the Chinese New Year.
