Best Time to travel to Asia

Each region of Asia has a large variation in its geography, as well as its climate, so when speaking about travel times for Asia in compliance with the climates, it’s near impossible to describe all of Asia as falling into one category. Starting with January, this is the coldest month out of the year. February rounds out their winter, and in March spring comes into play, which usually supplies Asia with temperatures somewhere in the 70’s. In their summer months, July can always be classified as the hottest, and August as the wettest during their year. The weather is considered the most comfortable during the months of May, September and October, so these are the months when you will find the most tourists visiting the area.
The Himalayan Region is the best to visit anywhere from October through February, when the wet areas of the Northeast become dry, which makes it easier to travel around the area. There are also many festivals this time of year in Southeast Asia, October and November host Dussehra, Durga Puja and Diwali. In March the festival of colors called Holi takes place.
Although it may be tempting to travel to Asia during the winter holidays, keep in mind that this is the busiest time of the year there, when tourism is at its all time high. If possible, try to avoid this season, and stick to a less crowded time of year.

Climate of Asia

Asia’s huge size has a lot to do with why it has regions of a wide variety of climates. Some of the coldest, hottest, wettest regions, as well as some of the driest places on earth. These varied climates include the bitter cold of the Polar north; the hot, dry desert environment of the centre and southwest; and the hot, humid conditions of the tropical south. The temperatures can vary from over 100*F degrees in some parts of Asia to below freezing in other parts.
Monsoons winds influence much of Asian climate. In winter, monsoons from the north blow into East Asia and cause cold, dry weather. The wind changes direction in summer and blows from the seas that lie south and southeast of that region causing hot, humid weather. The great interior lands of Asia are far from the ocean, so winds from the oceans cut off by the high mountain chains which surround the interior. Asia has long and cold winters and cold winds from the Polar Regions. Widespread summers with short and hot highlands as well as little rain except in the mountains, has left much of the region as a desert.
As the climate warms, many mountain glaciers are disappearing, permafrost is thawing, and the northern forests are moving further north. Rapid population growth and development in countries like China and India will put additional pressures on natural ecosystems and will lead to a rapid rise in the release of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere unless serious steps are taken to curtail emissions.

Best time to visit Cambodia

The most ideal months to visit Cambodia December and January, during these months you’ll find that the humidity and temperature is more tolerable, and it is much less likely to rain than during other times of the year. Starting in early February, temperatures will start to get much warmer, bringing April, when it can reach unbearable heights of 40*C, (104*F). The wet season takes place during mid-May through October, and despite the rain, it can be considered a decent time to visit this area, due to the moats and foliage being abundant. Traveling far northeast this time of year is not recommended, the tracks are most likely waterlogged during this season. With November following the wet season, you may want to visit for the countries largest festival, Bon Orn Tuk, which is highly celebrated and well worth the trip.

Best time to visit China

If you are looking for the best times to travel based on the temperature, either the spring months of March and April, or the fall of September and October are the most highly recommended. These months the temperature will generally be around 20-30*C, making it comfortable. The nights however, are much cooler except for during the summer months.
When looking into visiting the Yangzi River, it is important to know that this area can experience radical seasonal temperatures, and that typhoons have been known to hit. More to the northwest, you can expect hot, dry summers. Chinas hottest place is by far Turpan, which reaches peak temperatures of 47*C (117*) or higher.

Best time to visit India

India hosts a three-season year, the hot season, wet season, and cool season. The hot season begins in the northern plains and continues from February until April. These months can become unbearable, reaching temperatures from 35-47*C (95-113*F). The wet season follows, starting in the month of May. This brings high humidity, short rainstorms and violent electrical storms. The monsoon doesn’t always actually cool things off, but it does come as a great relief this time of year. The main monsoon season ends around October, when the northern cities start to become cooler at night towards the month of December.

Best time to visit Japan

During the winter moths of December through February, the temperatures can be exceptionally cold. Once March rolls around, the skies begin to clear, and tourists are able to enjoy warmer weather as well as beautiful cherry blossoms. The last week of April, until May 7th, is a highly celebrated holiday in Japan. Because of the holiday, you will find that the popular travel destinations are normally swamped with tourists coming to explore. Leading into the summer months, you will find that it is quite a bit quieter in these areas. The months of June through August can be extremely hot and less people travel to Japan during this time. The fall months of September through November can be the nicest times of year to travel here, since the weather is so beautiful and the colors in the countryside are at their best.

Best time to visit Nepal

Since Nepal is known for its beautiful mountains, it is important to plan your trip at just the right time; otherwise you may never even get the chance to see them. The start of the dry season in October or November is recommended. The weather is mild, making the visibility much better. In addition to seeing the mountains this time of year, there are always many festivals taking place outdoors, where the countryside is a major attraction.
As far as the rest of the year in Nepal is concerned, it is generally unpleasant for traveling. Their summer months are considered to be too hot and dusty to be comfortable, and during late summer the monsoons take over. The early fall is home to many clouds, which can prohibit you from seeing the beautiful mountains at their best.

Best time to travel to the Philippines

This area is very humid all year round. The weather pattern is divided into the dry season, from December to May, and the wet season, from June to November. Most places only have a small difference in the temperature, ranging from 31*C, to 24*C (76-87*F). The most traveled times on the year are around Christmas and Easter vacations. During these holidays, tourists will have trouble getting a seat on the plane, as well as trouble finding lodging. This is the best season to travel, but perhaps may be wise to plan your trip before or after these holidays.

Best time to travel to Singapore

Unlike many other destinations where you need to travel based on the weather, Singapore offers a very moderate temperature all year round. These temperatures range from around 31*C, to 24*C, (75-88*F). Instead of planning your trip around the weather, plan it for whichever type of festivity that you find most interesting. During April you will find the Singapore Food Festival, which is the host to many different foods. Following that, in June they host the Great Singapore Sale, which is a great opportunity to shop the area.

Best time to travel to Thailand

The peak season for traveling this area is split into two different stages. The first is from November to late March, with the next peak season in July and August. These months all host a much busier time for this area. You’ll want to avoid the monsoon season, which lasts from July until November. With that said, the best months to visit will be during the less crowded months of April through June, while the weather is still nice.
